Daniel Perdriau at Herr Bartels

Emotion is the word that comes to mind when eyes set on his picture.
Irish damselfly, damselfly, varied beetle, an all intimate world of insects parade under ours eyes, but also still life, underwood’s landscape, Loire’s waterfront or faraway sea, bathed of blurred and fog. The picture giver is eclectic.
Emotion again in his choice of delicate shades. His palette of grey where faded colours envelops subjects, suggesting more than it shows.
Proposed photography, sober, stripped, are terribly strong at showing nothings impressionist. They definitely reinforced our aesthetic emotion.
In fact, Daniel Perdriau is a bard of nature and spirit: his pictures are imprinted by his singularity of his regards on the nature that he seems rediscovering with a communicative jubilation.
We will meet him sometimes, at break of day on the verge of the water, with boots or wader, dressed of an old canvas, the body straight up to the etamine, pistil, water drops from the dew looking for the proper light reflection in order to create his poetic atmosphere.
Daniel like meeting, around the work he regularly expose, but also along his work as associative militant.
Animator at the photoclub of Varades, Daniel is also member of the Loire Atlantique photo Office*.It is in this frame that he helps different clubs, by proposing training to the members.
Photographs, militant, tutor, it is always enlighten by his passion that Daniel moves on.

2015, la Galerie Épi se double d’une maison d’édition et publie son 1er livre Un ouvrage illustré exécuté par le dessinateur peintre Ingrandais Jacques Briand.

« POILUS & GÉNÉRAUX, ENTRE RÊVE ET RÉALITÉ »
SORTIE FEVRIER 2015.

Plus qu’une satire du comportement de certains généraux lors de la 1ere guerre mondiale, ce livre est un plaidoyer humaniste.

Jacques Briand croque goulûment mais toujours avec finesse ces généraux qui n’avaient d’yeux que pour leurs futures étoiles. N’hésitant pas pour cela à sacrifier au « champ d’honneur » des bataillons de poilus anonymes. Ses dessins sont clairs, ses traits nets et ses bulles délicieusement acides…

FR3 consacrera un reportage au travail de Jacques Briand dans son émission « Vue sur Loire » diffusée le 22 Février 2015.

L’auteur

Jacques Briand a été successivement designer publicitaire, dessinateur, peintre. S’il a réalisé des décors pour des studios photographiques, il a aussi créé des collections funéraires pour les marbriers, amoureux fou de la vie qui a failli lui échapper et gourmand des jeux de mots, il peint comme il est, tout en contraste, tout en contradiction, en rondeur et en couleurs.
